After months of hard work, six young artists — including two talented Denver Kids students — and their designs were celebrated when Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr. selected the winning ‘My Cause My Cleats’ design. Each piece is a reflection of the student designer’s personality and their experience working with a mentor.
“The kids did a great job. You can tell they put a lot of time and effort into it. It was hard. I had to pick two this time,” Harris Jr. said.
Students from four Colorado mentoring organizations—Goodwill Industries of Denver, Denver Kids, Inc., Denver Urban Scholars, and Gunnison Valley Mentors—participated in creating a unique design to help bring awareness to the 300,000 young people across the state who are in need of mentoring.
