Future Options
The Future Options Program exists to present post-secondary opportunities to all students participating in Denver Kids, Inc. The program works to introduce students to the option and possibility of post-secondary education through campus tours, one-on-one discussions, and educating parents on why college is important and how to successfully navigate the process. Post-secondary options include two and four-year degrees, vocational programs, and programs offering certificate degrees.
The Future Options Program helps students prepare for the college application process through high school course selection, support and encouragement of the participation in extracurricular activities, and guidance regarding standardized testing.
During the senior year, Denver Kids, Inc.'s Future Options Program focuses on the college application process by supporting students in selecting their post-secondary programs, writing personal statements, identifying and applying for scholarships, and filling out financial aid forms.
During the first year of college, our Future Options Coordinator works to keep track of the freshman students through on-going communication and support.
